Does the SASR-Cov-2 spread to pets?

2020-08-10

With the fermentation of SASR-Cov-2, we have gradually mastered its information from nothing. But it is inevitable that there will be many rumors, some of which are about pets being infected with the new crown virus. Is this really the case?

Currently, there is no evidence that animals play an important role in spreading the virus that causes COVID-19. Based on the limited information available so far, it is believed that animals have a low risk of spreading COVID-19 to humans.Secondly, pets have other types of COVID-19 that can cause disease, such as dogs and cats. These other viruses cannot infect people and are not related to the current COVID-19 outbreak.

However, because animals can transmit other diseases to people, it is always important to develop healthy habits around pets and other animals, such as washing hands and maintaining good hygiene.

Someone asked: Do people infected with SASR-Cov-2 avoid contact with pets or other animals?

In response to this question, the CDC answered: It has not been confirmed that humans can infect animals. But before the cure, avoid contact with pets or other animals, including petting, kissing and sharing food. It’s best to let other family members take care of the pet. If you can’t hand it over to others, wash your hands and wear a mask before and after interacting with the pet.
