What is "asymptomatic infection"?

There is a word called asymptomatic infection.Asymptomatic infection refers to people who carry the virus but have not yet developed symptoms.Many people with asymptomatic infection have mild symptoms or even no symptoms. Asymptomatic infections are still contagious, and the number of viruses in their upper respiratory tract is basically the same as the number of viruses in the upper respiratory tract of patients who have been diagnosed.

Asymptomatic infections actually include two parts of the population: the first part is the recessive infection, with no symptoms or very mild symptoms during the whole process; the other part of the population is in the incubation period after the infection, and symptoms may appear in the future.

 

 

In any case, asymptomatic infected persons are at risk of transmission.If an individual does not have to panic after a positive nucleic acid test, he should actively cooperate with medical and health institutions to conduct health monitoring and isolation medical observation, report symptoms such as fever and cough in time, and receive standardized diagnosis and treatment by medical institutions.
